The Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation:

Catholic pupils are prepared in school for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. All pupils take part in the lessons, whether they are receiving the Sacraments or not. Approved programmes for preparation are always used.

Parents are informed of the nature of the work involved and reminded of their obligations as a preparatory meeting for each Sacrament. Most children receive Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in Year 3 with Confirmation preparation beginning in the summer term in Y5 and continuing inY6.

We pray together every day: – at the start of the day, before and after lunch, and before we leave.
